Food Law History
Evolution of food law in history.
From a legal history and Roman law perspective, the research delves into a study of past legislative solutions concerning food law and food safety, developing an overall analysis of food law in history. The study focuses on the concepts of food safety and food security, the culture of food in the legal experience of the past – through regulatory, judicial and doctrinal analysis – observing how such concepts in fact received nascent recognition in the ancient world and how they evolved over time. This research will highlight elements of continuity/discontinuity in comparison to today’s legal discipline.
